QUETTA: The Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has decided to release the arrested employees of the Balochistan Grand Alliance following the recommendations of provincial ministers Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Bakht Muhammad Kakar, and Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani. Additionally, according to an official hand out issued here on Tuesday, a high-level government committee has been formed for mutual dialogue, headed by Minister for Finance, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani. The committee includes Provincial Minister for Education, Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Parliamentary Secretary Asfand Yar Kakar, and representatives of the Balochistan Grand Alliance.
The government delegation described this step as progress toward reconciliation and a peaceful resolution of the issue, stating that the government is serious about listening to the employees’ concerns and finding legitimate solutions.
The committee will begin negotiations on the employees’ urgent issues starting on July 3, and will present its recommendations to the Chief Minister for approval.
Following the assurances given by the government delegation, the Balochistan Grand Alliance announced the postponement of its ongoing protest movement.
This announcement was made during a meeting between Grand Alliance leaders and Provincial Ministers Mir Shoaib Nosherwani and Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani. Abdul Malik Kakar, Faisal Tariq Khan, Muhammad Ramzan Achakzai, Syed Iqbal Shah, and others were also present on the occasion.
