Delegation of Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF) Calls on Governor Balochistan During Official Visit
Quetta, 24 July 2025; A delegation of the Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF) of the National Assembly of Pakistan, jointly led by President YPF , Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar & General Secretary YPF, Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani, called on the Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhel, during their official visit to the province today.
The delegation comprised MNAs Mr. Muhammad Saadullah, Mr. Muhammad Miqdad Ali Khan, Raja Osama Sarwar, Ms. Akhtar Bibi, Ms. Shaista Khan, Mr. Mohammad Usman Badini and Raja Muhammad Ali,
President YPF, Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar provided a comprehensive overview of the Young Parliamentarians Forum, elaborating on its mission to foster democratic engagement, inclusive policymaking, and greater youth participation in national discourse. She particularly stressed the importance of ensuring enhanced representation of women in Balochistan, underlining that empowering young women and promoting gender inclusion is central to the Forum’s objectives.
Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani, MNA, proposed establishing a formal collaboration between the Young Parliamentarians Forum and universities across Balochistan to create a sustainable platform for academic and legislative linkages. He emphasized that such a partnership would help bridge the gap between policy-making institutions and the province’s youth, especially students and emerging leaders.
In response, Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel appreciated the initiative and welcomed the idea of university linkages. He informed the delegation that there are 12 public sector universities in Balochistan and he assured that his Office will provide all-out support to YPF in this regard. The Governor further remarked that youth feedback is essential in shaping effective legislation and public policies, and that meaningful engagement could lead to substantial and inclusive development. He also lauded the cross-party nature of the YPF and its commitment to uniting young legislators beyond political affiliations for the larger national interest. He also acknowledged the value of the Forum’s initiatives in bringing national attention to the challenges and opportunities in Balochistan.
Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani apprised the Governor of the Forum’s ongoing efforts to form YPF chapters at the provincial level for the first time, noting that their visit to Balochistan marks a key milestone in that regard. He reaffirmed the Forum’s resolve to promote youth-driven policymaking and national cohesion. The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to pursue collaborative initiatives aimed at empowering youth, especially women, and strengthening democratic values through academic and political engagement in Balochistan.
