Over 100 students attend session at IMCG Korang Town, actively engaging in discussions on the dangers of irregular migration.
Islamabad, September 16 — The Directorate of Public Relations, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), organized an awareness session at Islamabad Model College for Girls, Korang Town, aimed at sensitizing young students to the perils of human trafficking and irregular migration.
The session, attended by more than 100 students, highlighted the growing risks associated with fraudulent overseas employment offers and unsafe migration practices. Deputy Director Mehmood Ali Khokhar and Inspector Ammar Mazhar briefed the participants on the importance of pursuing safe and legal migration pathways.
They cautioned students against deceptive job offers, particularly in the field of Information Technology, which are often used as traps by traffickers and smugglers. The officials emphasized that irregular migration not only poses grave threats to life but also results in legal entanglements and severe exploitation.
The session sparked keen interest among the students, who actively participated in a lively question-and-answer segment. Faculty members appreciated FIA’s initiative, underlining the importance of extending such awareness programs to more educational institutions across the country.
They stressed that educating youth is crucial in curbing human trafficking, as young people are the most vulnerable targets for fraudulent schemes and irregular migration networks.
The FIA reiterated its commitment to continue outreach activities, ensuring that awareness about the dangers of human trafficking and migrant smuggling reaches a wider audience, thereby protecting lives and promoting safe migration practices.
