RAWALPINDI, October 12 :
Heavy clashes erupted along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border after Afghan forces initiated unprovoked firing at multiple sectors late Saturday night, including Angoor Adda, Bajaur, Kurram, Dir, Chitral, and Baramcha (Balochistan), according to reliable security sources.

Responding with swift and overwhelming force, the Pakistan Army launched a decisive counterattack, destroying several Afghan border posts and inflicting heavy casualties on Afghan troops and Khawarij terrorist formations.

Security officials confirmed that Pakistan employed artillery, tanks, and both light and heavy weaponry to deliver a powerful and accurate response. Multiple Taliban posts were obliterated, while dozens of enemy combatants and Khawarij elements were neutralized in the exchange.

The Afghan posts, which were reportedly attempting to provide cover fire to facilitate terrorist infiltration, failed in their objective and suffered massive losses.

In a significant development, Pakistan has also launched precise strikes targeting Daesh and Khawarij hideouts inside Afghanistan, believed to be operating under the patronage of the interim Afghan government. These strikes are being carried out using aerial assets, armed drones, and long-range artillery to ensure pinpoint accuracy and complete destruction of terrorist sanctuaries.

According to security sources, headquarters of Afghan forces that had been providing shelter and support to Daesh and Khawarij networks have also been successfully targeted. The operation continues with precision engagement to dismantle all terrorist infrastructure posing threats to Pakistan’s peace and sovereignty.

Officials reiterated that the Pakistan Army remains fully alert and combat-ready, and any attempt to violate the country’s borders or support terrorist elements will meet a ruthless and crushing response.
