Independent Report, Islamabad – The Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) has announced a major crackdown on unregistered food outlets and restaurants, with just four days left to register. The deadline for registration is November 30, and those operating without registration will face strict enforcement actions starting December 1.
According to Director General of IFA, Dr. Tahira Siddique, unregistered outlets will be sealed, and heavy fines will be imposed on violators. “We will begin daily inspections on December 1 to verify registration and ensure compliance with food safety standards,” Dr. Siddique warned.
To register, restaurant and food point owners can visit the IFA website or contact the Business Facilitation Centre. Required documents include a food license, trade license, health certificate, and NTN registration.
The IFA’s crackdown aims to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met, protecting public health. “We urge all food outlets and restaurants to register immediately to avoid penalties and ensure a safe dining experience for customers,” Dr. Siddique added.
