Independent Report
ISLAMABAD: Petroleum product prices in Pakistan will now be revised on a daily basis, with the new pricing mechanism taking effect from today (Sunday).
Under the updated system, the prices of petrol, high-speed diesel and other petroleum products will be adjusted every day in line with fluctuations in international oil markets and the exchange rate, replacing the previous periodic review mechanism.
The move is aimed at ensuring that domestic fuel prices more closely reflect changes in global oil prices and market conditions.
Authorities are expected to issue updated petroleum prices on a daily basis under the revised mechanism. Further operational details are anticipated from the relevant government authorities.
