QUETTA (Independent Report): Senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Member of the Provincial Assembly, Haji Ali Madad Jattak, has said that the Karsaz tragedy remains one of the darkest and most tragic chapters in Pakistan’s political history — one that can never be forgotten.

He stated that on October 18, 2007, those who sacrificed their lives for democracy proved that no sacrifice is too great when it comes to protecting public rights, democratic stability, and national unity.

Haji Ali Madad Jattak emphasized that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s leadership symbolized democracy, unity, tolerance, and public service. Her struggle laid the foundation for strengthening democratic institutions in the country.

He added that the sacrifices of the martyrs of Karsaz will never be in vain, as their blood has fortified the roots of democracy. The Pakistan Peoples Party, he said, continues to uphold the same principles for which its leaders and workers laid down their lives.

Haji Ali Madad Jattak also fully endorsed the statement of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti regarding the Karsaz tragedy, describing the provincial government’s commitment to democratic values, political tolerance, and public service as a positive step.

He concluded by saying, “We pay rich tribute to the martyrs of Karsaz and reaffirm our resolve that the Pakistan Peoples Party will continue its struggle for democracy, public rights, and national stability.”
