Quetta, Oct 19,
Independent Report
The National Highway Authority (NHA) has successfully reopened the Quetta–Zhob–Dera Ismail Khan National Highway (N-50) for all types of traffic following swift restoration efforts in compliance with the special directives of the federal government.
According to NHA General Manager Engineer Agha Inayat, the strategic inter-provincial route had been blocked due to a massive landslide in the Dhanasar area along the Zhob–Mughal Kot section on Saturday.
He said that soon after the incident, NHA teams mobilized heavy machinery and commenced continuous clearance operations, working round the clock to ensure safe and timely reopening of the highway.
The reopening of the N-50, a key trade and transport corridor connecting Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has restored smooth traffic flow and facilitated movement of goods and commuters between the two provinces.
Engineer Agha Inayat reaffirmed NHA’s commitment to maintaining uninterrupted connectivity across the country and ensuring rapid response to natural calamities and road disruptions.
