Quetta, November 4, 2025:
Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir, chaired a review meeting during his visit to the Traffic Police Office Quetta, directing timely action against traffic law violators and emphasizing a citizen-friendly attitude among officers.
He highlighted the need for continued road safety awareness campaigns in educational institutions and announced plans to transform major roads into “model roads” with proper markings, signals, and parking facilities.
The IG also called for the use of technology to modernize traffic management across the province. He stressed the implementation of the 4E strategy — Enforcement, Engineering, Emergency, and Education — to ensure smooth traffic flow.
During the visit, SSP Traffic Dr. Muhammad Sami briefed the IG on ongoing measures, and new high-tech vehicles, including Mechanics on Wheels and Education Hunt units, were inaugurated to enhance operational efficiency.
