Deputy Commissioner Ghotki, Manzoor Ahmed Kanrani, visited the Rescue 1122 headquarters in Mirpur Mathelo and praised the organization for providing immediate life-saving services to the public. He emphasized the importance of keeping rescue teams active, professionally trained, and prepared at all times to respond to emergencies effectively.
During the visit, Emergency Officer Engineer Shafiq Ahmed briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the organization’s performance, staffing, vehicle condition, and emergency response system. The Deputy Commissioner inspected fire-fighting vehicles, ambulances, and other rescue equipment, and was briefed on the challenges faced by personnel during emergency calls.
He assured full support from the district administration to strengthen Rescue 1122 services. Citizens, however, noted that during previous fire incidents in Mirpur Mathelo, the 1122 fire brigade response had been delayed, highlighting the need for further improvements.
