Independent Report
Quetta, November 8, 2025:
Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, in his message on the birth anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, said that Iqbal’s philosophy instilled self-belief, intellectual awakening, and the spirit of freedom among the Muslims of the subcontinent — a vision that ultimately led to the creation of Pakistan.
He said that Allama Iqbal was not merely a poet but a philosopher, thinker, and spiritual leader who infused courage, faith, and determination into the hearts of an enslaved nation. “Iqbal’s teachings continue to serve as a beacon of national awakening and purposeful struggle,” the Chief Minister added.
Highlighting the essence of Iqbal’s message, Sarfraz Bugti said that Iqbal’s poetry embodies the teachings of the Holy Qur’an, the love of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, the philosophy of Khudi (selfhood), and a powerful call to action. “Iqbal’s message teaches us that nations are built not through dreams, but through knowledge, character, and determination,” he remarked.
He further stated that Iqbal’s message is timeless and universal, inspiring every generation to believe in its potential and remain steadfast in action. “If we truly embrace Iqbal’s philosophy of selfhood, no power on earth can stop our progress,” he asserted.
Addressing the youth, the Chief Minister said that Iqbal regarded the youth as the architects of the nation and urged them to pursue knowledge, courage, and national service with passion. “It is time to transform Iqbal’s message from speeches and books into real-life practice,” Bugti emphasized.
He concluded that Iqbal’s teachings are the foundation of national unity, intellectual independence, and self-reliance — values that can lead Balochistan and Pakistan towards prosperity, strength, and dignity.
