Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil giant Aramco has officially announced the completion of 50 fuel stations in Pakistan, with the inauguration of its latest station on Srinagar Highway, Islamabad.

In a social media post, Aramco thanked Pakistani consumers for their trust, stating:
“From our first station at Liberty, Lahore, to the 50th station on Srinagar Highway, Islamabad, this journey has been made possible by your confidence. This milestone is a source of pride for all of us.”

This achievement follows Aramco’s acquisition of a 40% stake in Gas & Oil Pakistan Limited in May 2024, marking the company’s first downstream retail investment in the country. Analysts say this move strengthens Aramco’s retail presence and aligns with its global strategy to expand downstream operations.

Aramco’s spokesperson confirmed that the company plans to further expand refining, storage, and fuel distribution networks in Pakistan, reinforcing a long-term partnership and tapping into growing market potential and energy sector opportunities.

Previously, Aramco had also acquired 100% equity in Chile’s prominent fuel and lubricants retailer S-MAX Distribution SPA, highlighting the company’s global downstream expansion strategy.

This development signals Aramco’s firm commitment to Pakistan’s energy sector, enhancing local fuel infrastructure and creating new opportunities for investment and collaboration.
