ANF Cracks Down on Drug Traffickers Across Pakistan

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a nationwide crackdown on drug trafficking, executing five major operations across multiple cities, including areas near educational institutions. During these operations, two accused were arrested and 390.52 kilograms of narcotics, valued at over PKR 465.3 million, were recovered.

Officials said these operations targeted both domestic and international smuggling networks, aiming to reduce narcotics supply to students and communities.


Operations Near Educational Institutions

Mansehra: ANF recovered 400 grams of hashish from an accused near Karakoram Highway Road. The suspect admitted to supplying drugs to students, highlighting the growing threat to youth.

 


International Drug Interdiction

Karachi: At a courier office, ANF intercepted a parcel bound for the United Kingdom, recovering 124 grams of heroin hidden inside a lady’s purse.

 

Domestic Drug Interdiction

Lahore: Near a hospital on Khayaban-e-Firdosi Road, 2 kilograms of crystal ice were recovered from an accused.

Peshawar (Hayatabad): A parcel bound for Sahiwal was intercepted, revealing 1 kilogram of ice hidden in a torch and sandwich maker.

Pishin (Alizai District): ANF recovered 387 kilograms of heroin, disrupting a major trafficking attempt.

Legal Action

All cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA) 1997, and investigations are ongoing.
