Local Government Elections: Scrutiny of Nomination Papers Begins Today
The Office of the Provincial Election Commissioner Quetta has announced that the scrutiny of nomination papers for the upcoming local government elections will take place from November 19 to November 24.
The last date to file appeals with the Appellate Tribunals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers by the Returning Officers is November 28, while the tribunals will issue their decisions by December 3.
The revised list of candidates will be published on December 4, followed by the withdrawal and final list on December 5.
According to the election schedule, election symbols will be allotted on December 6.
Polling for the local bodies elections will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, and the compilation of results will be completed by December 31, 2025.
Polling hours have been set from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
