Islamabad: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and Senator Rubina Khalid, in her message on December 16 marking 11 years of the Army Public School (APS) tragedy, said that on this day in 2014, enemies of education carried out an attack on APS Peshawar, crossing all limits of brutality.
She said the terrorists targeted innocent children and the future of the nation, calling the attack on schoolchildren a heinous and inhumane crime. Senator Rubina Khalid described the APS tragedy as a deeply painful incident whose memories continue to disturb the nation’s collective conscience.
She stated that incidents like APS expose the true face of terrorists and khawarij, adding that the Pakistani nation will never allow terrorists to succeed in their nefarious designs. The APS tragedy, she said, united the entire nation against terrorism.
Senator Rubina Khalid said the whole nation salutes the bravery of the martyred children and teachers, while extending heartfelt sympathies to the families of the martyrs. She added that the sacrifices made in the war against terrorism will always be remembered.
She further said that Pakistan’s security forces stand like a solid wall against cowardly terrorists and urged the nation to renew its resolve to eliminate terrorism and work collectively for a peaceful Pakistan.
