PAC Balochistan Recovers Rs 8 Billion, Issues Notices Worth Rs 22 Billion

Quetta, December 21, 2025 – The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Balochistan has issued notices totaling Rs 22 billion to various government departments over the past year, recovering Rs 8 billion for the national treasury. PAC Chairman Asghar Tarin emphasized that the committee is now taking suo moto notices on public issues, including the recent demolition on New Sabzal Road. Deputy commissioners’ 34 accounts were closed and funds transferred to the treasury. Tarin stated that PAC’s mandate includes ensuring financial transparency, tackling corruption, and protecting public interests while monitoring development projects and public facilities.
