Sindh Police Intensify Crackdown; Multiple Operations Yield Arrests, Recoveries

Sukkur / Larkana / Ghotki / Jamshoro / Shaheed Benazirabad, December 20–21, 2025 — Sindh Police continued an intensified campaign against crime across multiple districts, resulting in the arrest of notorious criminals, recovery of weapons and narcotics, and enhanced security measures to maintain law and order.
In Sukkur, acting on sensitive intelligence, Baggarji police arrested a highly wanted outlaw, Mumtaz alias Hazaron Misrani Jatoi, during an encounter in the riverine area. Police recovered a single-barrel gun and ammunition from his possession. The suspect was wanted in over ten serious cases, including murder, kidnapping for ransom, armed robbery, and attacks on police, and was involved in the killing of Shikarpur police constable Noor Ahmed Bhayo. SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan commended the police team and announced rewards for their performance.
In Larkana, under the directives of SSP Ahmed Faisal Chaudhary, district police launched extensive snap-checking, roadblocks, and search-and-combing operations. Rapid Response Teams, police patrols, and Madadgar-15 units were deployed, while hotels, guesthouses, and informal settlements were searched to deter criminal activity and strengthen public safety.
Meanwhile, in Ghotki, police and Pakistan Rangers continued a joint operation in the riverine areas bordering Sindh and Punjab. According to police sources, more than eight dangerous criminals were killed during the operation, large quantities of modern weapons and ammunition were seized, and over five abducted persons were safely recovered. Security in the area has been further tightened, and operations will continue until complete elimination of criminal elements.
In Jamshoro, police intensified action against drug trafficking. Under the supervision of DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razaq Daharijo and SSP Jamshoro Zafar Siddique Chhanga, Kotri police arrested a suspected dealer, Ghulam Rasool alias Ghulam Muhammad Umrani, and recovered heroin and ICE. A case was registered under the CNS Act, and further investigation is underway. Separately, SSP Jamshoro took strict departmental action over a traffic accident in Nooriabad, suspending the SHO and ordering an impartial inquiry.
In Shaheed Benazirabad, Sakrand police arrested an armed robber, Abdul Waheed alias Abdul Karim Juno, during a patrol encounter. A pistol and ammunition were recovered, and the suspect, with an extensive criminal record, was shifted to hospital for treatment. Search operations are ongoing to arrest his fleeing accomplices.
Police officials reiterated that protecting life and property remains their top priority and urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement by reporting suspicious activities promptly.
