Ormara: The Ormara Public Alliance, led by President Waqil Baloch, expressed deep concern over escalating water shortages and inadequate Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) strategies. In several neighborhoods, water supply intervals have increased from seven to 15–20 days.
Baloch criticized PHED officials, particularly Executive Engineer Momin Ali and SDO Salahuddin, for failing to ensure equitable water distribution. Residents are forced to buy water from private tankers at high costs, while no action has been taken against profiteering.
The alliance demanded immediate reforms and warned that failure to address the crisis will lead to protests, holding responsible officials accountable for public suffering. They stressed that access to water is essential for citizens’ survival, and administrative negligence cannot be tolerated.
