Sindh Government Announces Rs 1,018 Billion Development Projects Under Strategy 2025–26

Karachi, 24 December 2025: Sindh Senior Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, announced major development initiatives worth Rs 1,018 billion under the Sindh Government’s Development Strategy 2025–26. The plan prioritizes resilient infrastructure, flood rehabilitation, improved education and health services, urban connectivity, and poverty alleviation.
Education initiatives include Rs 340 billion for reconstruction of 1,600 flood-affected schools and the establishment of nine new cadet colleges. The women’s university project in Sukkur is near completion. The Sindh People’s Flood Victims Housing Scheme has already certified 2 million homes, made payments to 1.4 million beneficiaries, created 1 million employment opportunities, and granted land rights to 300,000 women.
Healthcare projects include grants totaling Rs 146.9 billion for major hospitals including SIUT, SICVD, and Indus Hospital, ensuring free and quality services. The Sindh Solar Energy Project has been allocated Rs 69.97 billion, with foreign aid of Rs 1,557.65 billion deployed in various infrastructure initiatives.
Additionally, work continues on the Ghotki–Kandhkot Bridge and Dhabeji Industrial Zone under Public Private Partnership. The minister emphasized that these projects aim to enhance industrial growth, urban welfare, and equitable access to education and healthcare across Sindh.
