President, PM commend Security Forces for successful operation against Khawarij in D.I. Khan

ISLAMABAD, Dec 25 :President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday paid tribute to Pakistan’s security forces for carrying out an effective intelligence-based operation against Khawarij in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan and reaffirmed the state’s resolve to eliminate terrorism and ensure lasting peace in the country.

In a statement issued by the Presidency, President Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces for their professionalism and bravery, stating that bringing the killers of innocent civilians and security personnel to justice remains the state’s foremost priority.

He said operations against Khawarij, who are operating with external backing, are vital for safeguarding public order and strengthening public confidence in state institutions.

The president underscored that decisive action against such elements reflects the state’s unwavering commitment to protecting citizens and maintaining stability, particularly in areas affected by militancy.

In a separate statement by the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also lauded the security forces for the successful operation, in which two Khawarij were neutralised. He said the security forces are achieving significant successes in the ongoing fight against terrorism.

The prime minister reiterated that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan’s armed forces in this war against terrorism and vowed that the country would be cleansed of all forms of terrorism. He emphasized that sustained operations against militant groups are essential to ensure peace, security, and development.
