A pod of dolphins was sighted near Lake Lap, Koh Mehdi, Gwadar, signaling improvements in marine health following a recent algae bloom. Deputy Director of Environment GDA, Abdul Rahim Baloch, noted that the return of dolphins and other aquatic life indicates recovery in the marine ecosystem and better conditions for fish populations. Experts suggest that such sightings reflect a positive balance in biodiversity and are encouraging for sustainable fishing and coastal conservation efforts. The observation highlights the effectiveness of environmental monitoring and the natural resilience of Gwadar’s marine habitat, providing hope for continued ecosystem restoration and the long-term stability of the region’s fishing resources.
