LAHORE, Jan 4, 2026: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has deployed inspection teams across the province to improve service delivery and strengthen governance in public sector institutions.
The initiative introduces a new governance model, including regular reporting to the Chief Minister and a digital dashboard for real-time monitoring. Teams are currently inspecting hospitals to ensure the provision of free medicines and healthcare, with plans to extend oversight to education and other government departments.
Following inspections and public complaints, several medical superintendents and principals have been replaced for failing to meet performance standards. The Chief Minister reiterated that transparency, accountability, and public welfare remain top priorities, with strict action against negligent officials.
