LAHORE, Jan 4, 2026: Acting on the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team conducted a surprise visit to Gujranwala Teaching Hospital, resulting in the removal of the Medical Superintendent (MS) and Principal due to serious administrative lapses.
The inspection, dispatched by Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Shoaib Mirza, involved reviewing multiple departments and interacting directly with patients and attendants. Complaints highlighted delays and irregularities in the provision of medicines.
Following the findings, the officials were removed for failing to maintain proper administrative control and ensure patient care. The Chief Minister emphasized that negligence and mismanagement in public healthcare will not be tolerated, and strict action will continue against underperforming officials.
