Zhob | Jan 11, 2026:
Social and public circles in Zhob have welcomed Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti’s announcement regarding the establishment of new districts in the province, while urging the formation of a new district comprising Kakar Khorasan and adjacent areas.
Residents demanded that Tehsil Kakar Khorasan, along with Patwar circles Abdullahzai, Babbar Khosti Gosa, and Margha Kabzai, be merged to form a separate district. They argued that Zhob’s rapidly increasing population has overwhelmed administrative systems, adversely affecting public services and development projects.
Appeals were made to Health Minister Bakht Kakar, MNA Jamal Shah Kakar, and other elected representatives to take practical steps for the new district’s establishment. The statement also urged Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jafar Khan, MPA Sheikh Zarak Khan Mandokhail, and Haji Fazal Qadir Mandokhail to play an active role in dividing Zhob into two districts.
Public representatives expressed hope that provincial leadership would prioritize public interest and address this longstanding demand through timely and effective measures.
