Islamabad, Feb 2, 2026: Pakistan and Kazakhstan have further deepened their bilateral cooperation in education with the signing of eight Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during the visit of a 25-member high-level Kazakh delegation to the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.
The delegation was led by Kazakhstan’s Minister for Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek and included senior officials, university heads, and representatives of research institutions. Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding academic collaboration.
A bilateral meeting reviewed existing cooperation frameworks and explored new opportunities in higher education, science and technology, medical education, research, innovation, and academic exchanges. The MoUs were signed between leading institutions including Quaid-i-Azam University, NUST, International Islamic University Islamabad, GIK Institute, NUML, King Edward Medical University, and University of Health Sciences.
Additionally, Pakistan–Kazakhstan education centers were inaugurated at QAU, NUST, and IIUI to promote information exchange and institutional linkages. Both countries reaffirmed education as a core pillar of long-term partnership. End
