eTurbat:
A seminar was organized at the University of Turbat to express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), following the tradition of other Pakistani universities on Kashmir Solidarity Day.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, Director Public Relations Ejaz Ahmed, Political Science lecturer Munir Ahmed, and Director Student Affairs Chakar Haider shared their views during the seminar. Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Kamal Ahmed and Dean Faculty of Business and Economics Dr. Adil Ahmed, along with faculty members, administrative staff, and a large number of students, also participated.
Speakers highlighted the historical background of the Kashmir issue and urged the international community to take notice of the longstanding dispute and play an active role in its resolution. They emphasized that a peaceful resolution should be in accordance with UN resolutions and respect the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people.
Participants reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance to continue providing moral, political, and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir in their struggle for freedom. The Vice Chancellor concluded by thanking all participants for attending the seminar.
