Quetta, February 23: Acting on the directives of Administrator Metropolitan Corporation Quetta, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Qambrani, the Special Magistrate of the Metropolitan Corporation, Habib-ur-Rehman Kakar, conducted a strict operation at Jinnah Market, sealing several shops for failing to pay rent and taxes while issuing stern warnings to others.
During the crackdown, shopkeepers were instructed to immediately settle all outstanding dues. Those with pending payments were directed to ensure prompt clearance to avoid further penalties.
Officials highlighted that the enforcement measures are intended to safeguard government-owned property and ensure proper revenue collection. “No negligence or delay will be tolerated in this regard,” the Special Magistrate stated, cautioning that non-compliant shops would face strict legal action.
Authorities confirmed that the affected outlets will remain closed until all rent and tax obligations are fully met, sending a firm message to the business community about the importance of meeting financial responsibilities.
