Swat – Several political and social figures from Ghorband, Liloni, and Kana areas of Shangla district have resigned from their respective parties and joined the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) along with their supporters. New members include Khaista Muhammad, Haji Shah Saud, Talib Dar, Haji Zameen, Karim Khan, Fareed Khan, and Dilshad Khan.

Federal Minister and President of PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Amir Muqam, welcomed the new members by presenting them with the party’s traditional mufflers and praised their decision. Addressing the joining ceremony at Muslim League House Sangota, he said that in the current scenario, supporting a political party committed to the country’s development and prosperity is essential. He highlighted the role of PML-N in steering the nation through crises, particularly under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, which led to significant progress.
Amir Muqam reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Shangla, emphasizing efforts to ensure basic facilities in the region while noting the importance of available resources and time. He criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for road blockades, business closures, and the alleged political use of the Ramadan relief package. The ceremony was attended by numerous district office-bearers and party workers.
