ISPR. Rawalpindi, February 26, 2026: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said security forces killed ten militants during a sanitization operation in Zhob District, Balochistan.
The operation followed an intelligence-based action on February 24 in which eight militants were neutralized. According to the ISPR, troops conducted a comprehensive clearance operation on February 25 to track down suspected militants linked to Fitna al Khwarij.
During the operation, security forces engaged the militants at multiple locations. After an exchange of fire, ten militants were killed. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from their possession.
The military’s media wing said the militants had been involved in various terrorist activities in the area. It added that sanitization operations are continuing to eliminate any remaining threats.
Security forces reiterated their commitment to continue counterterrorism operations under the National Action Plan framework.
