Islamabad Police Arrest Five Members of Two Street Crime Gangs, Recover Stolen Cash, Mobile Phones and Weapons

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad’s Koral Police have arrested five members of two alleged street crime gangs during a targeted operation, recovering stolen cash, valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, 10 expensive mobile phones, two motorcycles, five pistols and ammunition allegedly used in criminal activities.
According to the Islamabad Police spokesperson, the suspects are believed to have been involved in multiple street crime incidents across different areas of the federal capital. Police also recovered a mobile phone and purse reportedly snatched from a foreign woman.
The operation was carried out as part of Islamabad Police’s ongoing targeted campaign against criminal elements. Investigations are underway to determine the suspects’ involvement in additional cases.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq said the campaign against criminal elements will continue and reiterated that safeguarding the lives and property of citizens remains the Islamabad Police’s top priority
