Rahila directs to make non-functional computer, science labs & libraries operational in Pishin institutions

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Education, Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani has issued directives to immediately make the non-functional computer and science laboratories, as well as libraries, in the educational institutions of Pishin district operational.
The Provincial Minister for Education issued these directives during her visit to various educational institutions in Pishin district.
She was accompanied by the Special Secretary for Schools, Director of Schools, Director of Colleges, and other senior education officials.
During the visit, the Education Minister met with students and teachers in schools and colleges, listened to their concerns, and assured them of prompt solutions.
Addressing the students, Ms. Durrani said that education is the path to progress. “Education is your right, and it is the government’s duty to provide you with quality education,” she emphasized.
She further stated that the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, is paying special attention to the education sector. “We want our children to pursue higher education abroad, but at the same time, we will ensure that our own educational institutions also provide quality education,” she added.
The Minister urged teachers to perform their duties with honesty and avoid absenteeism, stressing that students must be prepared for a better future and that absenteeism will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
She made it clear that while the government is equipping schools and colleges with modern facilities, strict action will be taken against officials if any lab or library is found non-functional.
Ms. Durrani said she will continue to pay surprise visits to educational institutions across the province to strengthen the education system through active monitoring. She emphasized that education is the foundation of our development, and no negligence in this sector will be tolerated.
