Election Commission and NADRA Launch Initiative to Improve Access to National Identity Cards in Khairpur District
Khairpur, August 7, (SPECIAL REPORT): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and NADRA have launched a joint effort to improve access to national identity cards in the Khairpur district. Mobile registration vans have been deployed in several talukas to reach citizens in remote areas.
District Election Commissioner Naeem-ur-Rehman and NADRA Incharge Ali Mehdi inspected one such mobile unit set up at the Chelaho Sahib Temple in Pir Jo Goth on Monday.
An awareness session was also held at the Government Girls Degree College in Pir Jo Goth to inform residents about the new mobile registration program. Participants were told that this initiative is designed to help those who do not possess national identity cards and wish to obtain these crucial documents.
Naeem-ur-Rehman encouraged area residents to take full advantage of this mobile service when it reaches their respective areas and cooperate in obtaining identity cards
