Bajaur, Oct 7:
A grand Jirga was held in Gabri area of Bajaur under the auspices of Frontier Corps (FC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North, attended by a large number of tribal elders and local residents.
The participants reviewed the overall security situation in the region and emphasized the need to further strengthen cooperation between the local population and the security forces.
It was unanimously agreed that any information regarding the presence of militants (Khawarij) would be immediately reported to the security agencies.
The local people expressed their firm resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in the fight against militants and to maintain lasting peace in the area.
Tribal elders and participants also commended the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army and FC, acknowledging their vital role in restoring peace and stability in the region.
