Karachi, December 12, 2025: The fourth Sindh Emergency Council meeting, chaired by Adviser to the Chief Minister Gyan Chand Aserani, approved the establishment of the Rescue 1122 Academy Sindh and introduced mandatory Fire and Life Safety NOCs for all new buildings. Held at PDMA Headquarters, the session reviewed Rescue 1122’s performance, emergency response mechanisms, and resource needs.
The council lauded Rescue 1122 as a vital lifeline for Sindh, approving world-class training in firefighting, search and rescue, medical emergencies, disaster management, and technical courses. Group insurance for personnel was also sanctioned. An MoU with Malir Industrial Park will establish a 2.5-acre Emergency Response Center to serve industrial, residential, and transport zones. A dedicated account for funds, land, or donations will be opened with Finance Department support.
Aserani emphasized that strengthening Rescue 1122 with modern equipment, training, welfare measures, and a unified command structure is a government priority. He stated these decisions will enhance public safety, emergency response, and overall resilience across Sindh.
