QUETTA: The Chief Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has stated that youth of the province possess immense potential, which can be transformed into a national asset by providing them with the right direction and a conducive environment.
He stated that the provincial government considers education, training and character-building of young people as its top priority and as such concrete and practical steps are being taken to further strengthen institutions like Military College Sui.
The Chief Minister expressed these views while addressing the ceremony of Annual Parents’ Day at Military College Sui.
He said that quality education, character building and all-round training form the strong foundation upon which the future of nations is built, and military cadet colleges are playing a highly effective role in achieving this national objective, where young people are instilled not only with academic competence but also with discipline, leadership, patriotism and a sense of national responsibility.
The Chief Minister maintained that institutions like Military College Sui are aligning the youth of Balochistan not only with quality education but also with practical training, military traditions, and positive values.
While paying tributes to the role of parents, Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that parental guidance, hard work and sacrifices are fundamental to the educational and moral success of children, and that events such as Parents’ Day further strengthen trust and coordination between parents and educational institutions.
Praising the cadets’ outstanding achievements in academic performance, discipline, and co-curricular activities, Chief Minister said that the youth of Balochistan possess immense potential which can be transformed into a national asset by providing them with the right direction and a conducive environment.
He, on the occasion, emphasized that provision of modern educational facilities, sports opportunities and basic infrastructure is essential for the all-round development of students.
In this context, he announced that laptops would be provided to the 2nd year students of Military College Sui. He also announced to allocate Rs. 70 million for solarization of the college, Rs. 125 million for the construction and rehabilitation of internal roads, and Rs. 300 million for the construction of an outdoor sports complex, along with the construction of a new parade ground at the College.
Earlier, the Commandant of Military College Sui, Brigadier Muhammad Aamir Ejaz gave a detailed briefing to the Chief Minister on the overall performance of Military College Sui, its academic standards and future development projects.
