Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has said that
improving the livestock and dairy sector will create new employment
opportunities in the province and significantly increase milk and meat
production, leading to economic stability and an improved quality of
life for the people.

He expressed these views while chairing an important meeting of the
Livestock and Dairy Development Department at the Chief Minister
Secretariat. The meeting approved several reform-oriented decisions
aimed at departmental improvement, public health protection, and
transparent governance.

During the meeting, it was decided to gradually relocate dairy farms
from within Quetta city to areas outside the urban limits. The Chief

environment to citizens, reduce pollution, and promote modern urban
planning, thereby addressing traffic congestion, environmental
hazards, and public health concerns.

To ensure effective implementation of the relocation plan, the Chief
Minister approved the formation of a special committee comprising the
Secretary Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) and
the Secretary Finance. The committee has been directed to review all
aspects of the plan and submit a comprehensive and actionable report
within one week.

The meeting also approved departmental recruitments from Grade 1 to
Grade 15 in the Livestock and Dairy Development Department. Chief
Minister Bugti issued clear instructions that all recruitments must be
conducted strictly on merit and through a transparent process,
emphasizing that no political pressure or recommendations would be
tolerated.

He categorically stated that no job would be sold and no one would be
allowed to compromise the rights of deserving youth. He reiterated
that merit-based governance is a top priority of the provincial
government and that no compromise would be made on transparency.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to
institutional reforms aimed at improving service delivery and making
public departments more efficient and people-friendly. He said that
