Quetta, December 28: Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, has
lauded the exemplary role of cadet colleges in maintaining high
standards of discipline and providing a conducive learning
environment, stating that these institutions have made a significant
contribution to delivering quality education across the country.
The governor expressed these views during a meeting with the Principal
of Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi, Mansehra, Mr. Kim Seung-Su,
at the Governor House in Quetta. He particularly appreciated the
efforts of Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi in character building
and promoting modern education among the youth of Balochistan.
Governor Mandokhail said that thousands of cadet college graduates are
actively contributing to national development in various fields. He
acknowledged the dedication of principals and their teams in ensuring
proper education and training for students, especially those belonging
to underdeveloped regions.
During the meeting, the governor also approved a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) between Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi and
the Balochistan Boy Scouts Association (BBSA), which is scheduled to
be signed in January 2026. The initiative aims to extend quality
education to remote districts of Balochistan through the Scouts’
network by utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS), multilingual
global content—including Korean modules—blended learning camps,
outreach programs, and mobile classrooms.
It was highlighted that Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi is
currently providing educational opportunities to 75 cadets from
Balochistan and has allocated an additional 20 seats for the upcoming
intake. This step is expected to further strengthen access to modern
education for the youth of the province.
Governor Mandokhail termed these efforts a positive step towards
empowering Balochistan’s youth and ensuring their meaningful
participation in the country’s progress.
