Barkhan: Deputy Commissioner Barkhan Abdullah Khosa has categorically
stated that no compromise will be made on teachers’ attendance,
students’ education, and the overall functionality of educational
institutions in the district.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting of the District
Education Group (DEG) in Barkhan. The meeting was attended by
Assistant Commissioner Barkhan Khadim Hussain Bhangar, concerned
officers of the Education Department, representatives of the RTSM
team, the Principal of Government Boys Degree College Barkhan, and
representatives of teachers’ unions.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of the
implementation status of decisions taken in the previous DEG meeting.
Matters related to the release of salaries of SBK and contract
teachers (Phase II and III) were also discussed. The meeting further
deliberated on a strategy to activate remaining non-functional schools
through rationalization, school visit reports, and actions taken
against absent teachers.
The deputy commissioner also reviewed measures taken against teachers
found guilty of persistent absenteeism and issued clear directives to
the concerned departments to ensure improvement in the education
system, strict discipline, and effective teaching practices.
He directed all officers to perform their duties diligently and
emphasized that ensuring quality education and accountability would
remain a top priority of the district administration.
