SANGHAR: An additional sessions court in Sanghar has awarded the death penalty and imposed a fine of Rs5 million on a man after convicting him in a murder case registered at Chotiariyon police station.
According to the judgment, Additional Sessions Judge-I Sanghar found Ameer Bux Keerio guilty under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The court ordered that the convict be hanged by the neck till death and directed that the fine be paid to the legal heirs of the deceased.
The case was registered in 2023 under FIR No. 15/2023. The prosecution stated that the investigation was carried out in a transparent and professional manner and the charge was proven through credible evidence.
Sub-Inspector Ghulam Hussain Bhugti, the investigation officer, produced strong documentary and oral evidence during the trial, which supported the prosecution’s case.
SSP Sanghar Abid Ali Gaddani Baloch said the district police were pursuing a zero-tolerance policy against crime and remained committed to ensuring justice and public safety.
