| Karachi, 24 December 2025: The Sindh Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122), under the provincial Rehabilitation Department, has reported 10 emergency incidents across Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur control rooms in the past 24 hours. The majority of incidents involved fire outbreaks and road accidents, with 823 medical interventions conducted in total.
Fire incidents were reported in Khairpur, Mirpurkhas, and various Karachi districts including Central, East, and Malir, affecting vehicles, houses, and store rooms. Rescue teams acted promptly, controlling fires at multiple locations and saving lives.
Road accidents caused injuries to several citizens. In Nooriabad, eight people were hurt when a rickshaw overturned, while in Bandhi, Shaheed Benazirabad, a collision between a tractor and a Dhoom van left multiple injured, some trapped. Rescue teams provided immediate relief and medical assistance.
In Karachi’s West district, a person trapped inside an ATM booth in Surjani was rescued safely by 1122 personnel.
Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister, Giyan Chand Esrani, praised the performance of Rescue 1122 despite limited resources. He emphasized the government’s commitment to providing modern equipment and urged the public to call 1122 immediately in emergencies to save lives.
