Quetta – Under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Finance and Minerals, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, a consultative meeting was held to finalize preparations for the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award. Members of the NFC for Balochistan, including Mahfooz Ali Khan, Additional Secretary Finance Arif Achakzai, and finance consultants, attended the meeting.
During the session, the finance team briefed the minister on the province’s economic needs, expenditures, and revenues in detail. Minister Nosherwani emphasized that protecting Balochistan’s economic and social rights remains a top priority. He assured that, in coordination with the federal government, the province’s rightful share under the NFC Award will be secured. A comprehensive and research-based strategy has been prepared, taking into account population, underdevelopment, area, and other key factors to ensure equitable allocation.
