A forest fire that broke out in the Dab Beni area of Musakhel has been completely brought under control due to swift and coordinated action by the district administration and the Forest Department, officials confirmed on Sunday.
According to reports, timely intervention prevented the fire from spreading further and causing large-scale damage to forest resources. Following confirmation that the situation was under control, PDMA rescue teams, which were en route to Musakhel, were instructed to return to the PDMA headquarters.
Director General PDMA Balochistan Jehanzeb Khan Ghorzai praised the district administration, Forest Department, and rescue teams for their preparedness and effective coordination. He said the rapid response helped avert a potential environmental disaster.
Authorities stated that although the fire has been extinguished, the affected area remains under continuous monitoring. Relevant departments have been placed on alert to respond immediately in case of any resurgence.
Local residents expressed relief over the containment of the fire and appreciated the timely response by government departments to safeguard forests and nearby settlements.
