Islamabad, 21 January 2026: Chairman of the Senate, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, has congratulated renowned media leader and Senator Sarmad Ali on receiving an honorary doctorate in Media Innovation and Public Leadership from Greenwich University.
Chairman Senate Gilani described the honor as a recognition of Senator Sarmad Ali’s exceptional contributions to Pakistan’s media landscape and his effective leadership in the field of public communication. He highlighted Senator Ali’s role in strengthening national media through his leadership at Jang Group and the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS), which has been pivotal for media development, stability, and institutional capacity.
Gilani also noted that the award acknowledges Senator Ali’s commitment to ethical journalism, responsible reporting, and innovative practices in communication. He expressed confidence that Senator Ali’s work will continue to promote professional values and integrity in media.
Extending his best wishes, the Senate Chairman said Senator Ali’s efforts will further contribute to national development, democratic values, and the advancement of a responsible media landscape.
