Quetta (Independent Report) – Balochistan’s Kachhi district food department is reportedly non-functional, with all staff, including the District Food Officer, absent and offices locked. Officials continue to receive salaries, while residents and farmers face service disruptions.
Local political and social circles described the situation as blatant corruption and waste of public funds. Authorities have been urged to take immediate action, restore operations, and implement strict disciplinary measures against absent staff to ensure that public and agricultural needs are addressed without delay.
