Mehar, 28 January 2026: Regional Director of the Sindh Ombudsman, Imdad Ali Shah, held an open session at the Mehar Revenue Office to address public complaints. Over 25 citizens submitted grievances alleging corruption and harassment by revenue officials, including tapidars and sub-registrars, who were reportedly demanding bribes for land and house transactions.
Other issues raised included unauthorized changes to land records, bureaucratic harassment, lack of teachers, poor sanitation, inadequate healthcare facilities, deteriorating roads, illegal encroachments, and non-functional motorways. The Regional Director assured citizens that all complaints would be addressed, with strict instructions to officials to resolve issues within 60 days, and action against non-compliant officials.
