Quetta, Jan 28: Gas pressure has been fully restored in Mariabad, Quetta, after a joint inspection and intervention by Assistant Commissioner (Saddar) Captain (R) Hamza Anjum and officials from Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC). The team conducted a thorough survey of the area and successfully resolved the supply issues affecting residents.
The action followed protests by local residents over persistently low gas pressure, prompting Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini to take immediate steps to address the situation. During the inspection, a few individuals were found attempting to tamper with the gas pipeline and were promptly issued stern warnings.
SSGC staff were directed to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to the area and to implement measures to prevent any future interference with the pipeline. Authorities emphasized maintaining vigilance to protect critical infrastructure and safeguard the community’s access to essential services.
