Islamabad:
President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed deep sorrow over the death of President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, the Presidency said on Friday.
In a statement, Zardari offered prayers for the deceased and expressed condolences to the bereaved family. He described Chaudhry’s political and national services as significant and lasting.
The president said the late leader played an important role in public life and would be remembered for his contributions to democratic and political processes.
He prayed for the departed soul to be granted eternal peace and strength for the family to bear the loss, according to the statement issued by the Presidential Media Wing.
