Khuzdar: The Lazo Bridge over Koshak Nadi in Khuzdar’s Lazo area remains in a state of disrepair despite Rs40 crore being approved last year for its construction. The long-delayed project has left daily commuters, students, patients, and local businesses struggling with unsafe crossing conditions.
Despite repeated promises and political attention, no significant construction work has started. The bridge, barely 200 meters long, is located near the local market, forcing hundreds of pedestrians and vehicles to navigate hazardous conditions daily. Several motorcyclists and families have narrowly escaped serious accidents, highlighting the urgency of the project.
Local residents and civic groups demand that authorities immediately begin construction, hold responsible officials accountable for delays, and provide tangible progress, ensuring the bridge becomes safe and functional for public use.
