Chaman — Deputy Commissioner Chaman, Habib Ahmed Bangalzai, conducted an on-field review of polio teams on the first day of the ongoing polio vaccination campaign. He emphasized that the polio virus can cause lifelong disability but can be prevented by ensuring all children under five receive the vaccine during every campaign.
The DC urged parents and community elders to actively support vaccination efforts, highlighting that every child has the right to a healthy future and that protecting children from disease is a fundamental responsibility of both society and the state. He instructed polio teams to ensure no child is left unvaccinated and directed security personnel to monitor suspicious individuals and accompany vaccination teams at all times. The DC also reviewed children’s fingerprints and wall markings to ensure complete coverage
