District Police Mastung have directed traders to close all shops and markets by 4:00 pm daily due to security concerns. Authorities stated the decision was taken as a precautionary measure to prevent any untoward incidents. The trader community expressed serious concern, stating that early closures would severely affect livelihoods and commercial activity. Traders demanded enhanced and foolproof security arrangements instead of restricting business hours. Citizens also emphasized that improved policing and visible security presence are preferable to shutting down markets, urging authorities to reconsider the decision.
